I'm here today with another shameless plug to promote my Etsy Shop! I've made a few really special crowns that are now available in the shop for purchase immediately. All of these crowns are one size fits most. This collection is full of big, lush crowns just bursting with color! I wanted to make this year's crop extra bright and really big. I love the look of a huge crown, with lots of color, varied flowers. 

These crowns are definitely statement pieces. Unlike a lot of last year's crop that was small, and very wearable; these crowns are made for special events, photo shoots, or festivals. Hello friends, 

So, it's been pretty quiet around here the past week or so. I have been so crazy sick it's almost unreal. And, the fact that I was sick and could barely move really was beginning to aggravate me. All I wanted to do was blog, or draw, or craft, or literally anything else but be sick. That's how I always am though. I am the biggest baby when it comes to being ill. So, since I'm feeling better I have been poking around the internet and getting reacquainted with what's been going on, and what to write about. I've been reading a lot more blog recently, and have been getting very inspired by what others have been writing about. Today I was looking through my feed and came across this gal's fashion collection. And, seriously this upcoming one she has for spring/summer is literally to die for!!! I have fallen in love with Samantha Pleet almost immediately. 

The entire styling of this collection is so appealing to me. Everything from the hair, to the makeup, and yes of course the clothes! Holy cow the clothes!!! I didn't even get far enough to look at how much this collection is running for before I had to write about it. The pastel colors have me drooling over here for serious. And let's talk about those bell bottoms. I'm gonna die. They're perfect, and I need them in my life. It's so very clear the 60's and 70's are back in style. This is going to make summer way cooler, and I can't wait to see what everyone else is going to come out with. But for now, let's appreciate the coolness of this amazing collection! ::Lead & Pigments:: Planning on Spring

Hello friends!! 

This year is going to consist of a lot of change in my life. I'm on the latter end of the last two weeks of my job. I've decided to leave, but that's a discussion for another post. Today is a little more lighthearted. I've been doing a lot of thinking of where I'd like my life to go. What I actually want to do, and how I need to go about achieving those goals. I've decided to start airbrushing again, but on my own this time. The avenues I thought I had open to me, are now not too open. So, I'm going to venture out on my own. I'm going to genuinely start building my empire, and working towards that big goal of self sufficiency and a shop/ boutique of my own. I'm going to start super small, and continue with my Etsy shop. Because, it's my baby and it's doing pretty well....and beyond that I'm really enjoying working on it. I can't wait to actually have the time to build it up, and properly work on it. 

I've got big plans for 2015, and that's kind of scary. But, it's the good kind of scary. I'm going to work my tail off to make this happen and be a contributing part of my family again, instead of this sleepy, grumpy dragon I have been these past few months. I'm going to start sewing again, and I have been dreaming up all kinds of things to put up in the shop for spring/summer. Oh, how I love the spring!! These sketches are just a few ideas of the flowy shirt line I've been dreaming up for the shop. There'll be a lot of semi see-through fabrics, layers, and very bohemian inspired. I'm going back to my roots. Because it feels right. Big colors, bold patterns, and bright patchwork. I'm going home. 

I hope you enjoy this little peek into the process. There'll be a lot more in the next coming weeks as I readjust to a creative life. It's going to be a struggle, but I've learned to enjoy the struggle. It makes the rewards that much sweeter!

::Life Post:: Alice in Wonderland book collection

Hello friends! 

Have I ever told you guys how much I love Alice in Wonderland? No? You must not know me. Hahaha but for serious, I have had an obsession with the books since 2003 when I had to read it for my 7th grade English class. Ever since then I have been collecting different issues of the book, whether its a graphic novel, or a classic interpretation of it. 

These are just a few of the copies I have over here at Bryan's house. Yes, I do have more over at my dad's place. I'll probably share those with you guys later. There a few really good ones I've saved for later. 

I started collecting different copies of this amazing story mostly for the different versions of the classic art. The different artist interpretations are what really got me hooked on this collection. Above and below are just a few little shots of what I mean. The story may stay the same, but the art really takes it to a new world every time I crack open one of those spines!
